Nigeria's Next Super Model

Having initiated and organized successfully for several years, Nigeria’s Next Super Model Reality TV show, a semblance of America’s Next Top Model TV, Joan Okorodudu is one name that resonates in the Nigerian fashion industry.
Okorodudu started out as a boutique owner in the 90’s in Wilmington, Delware and in 2007 after coming back to Nigeria, she floated her label collection, the House of Jola. Since then, the prestigious label has featured in numerous fashion events including South Africa Fashion Week, Nigerian Fashion Week and Washington D.C Fashion Week.
Aside her collection and the NNSM competition, Okorodudu is also the proud owner of ISIS Models Johannesburg, a leading modeling agency for young black girls in Africa that has booked models for the likes of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Couture Fashion Week, Island of the World Bahamas, Berlin Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week.

So far so good she has produced fantastic models through her reality platform, NNMS, who are currently globetrotting and rocking the international fashion scene. Hot shot and most sought after Olubunmi Ademokoya is one of such models discovered by Okorodudu. This charming and graceful model won the best model of the world in 2008, a modeling contest that featured over 100 models from other parts of the world. She has also walked the runway in New York, Paris, Cape Town, Durban, Sanlam, Arise Cape Town, and Arise Joburg. She has modeled for reputable designers like Dany Atrache, David Tlale, Andre Aquino, and Elie Saab. Others include Aisha Bello, Tinuade Adejokun, Eno Akpan, Tayo Ishola , Faith Amadi, Omoye Eromosele etc.
Placed side by side her contemporaries, Okorodudu has done well for herself considering the fact that she has her hands in almost every business that connects to the Fashion Industry. Interestingly, she has been able to manage all of them well. Her label, House of Jola is a success when compared with the likes of Deola Sageo, Modela, Mudi etc. Her modeling agency ISIS perhaps rivals that of Beth and Legendary Gold and her spar, Lagos Ageless Clinique is also a success.
It only takes one with a high level of creativity, business intelligence and doggedness to reach the height which the Delta state born woman has climbed over the last decade.
Joan Okorodudu has become an African fashion icon and has been interviewed by top international media such as Reuters, Associated Press and Der Spiegel, one of Europe’s largest publications.
